Dear Parents,

 

 

I am an educator with a treasure full of experience and love. Yes, I love what I do. Working with and helping children and families.

 

 

Some of my treasures or jewels include:

Art instructor for Roland Park, Baltimore City Elementary School kindergarten class. . A registered sub & participant in a Head Start & The University of Maryland M.I.N.D. Project. (Model for Integrated Neuronal Development) research . Educational Toy Rep & Manager. . I watched Pediatrician, Dr.Barnaby Starrs' child, when my child was a baby. This was prior to my move to Howard County, Maryland. . I have a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art from MICA. I went back to school, and received my Certification in Child/ Day Care in 1997. I differed slightly in that I took it as College credits. I am proud to report my 4.0 for all of the courses taken even when I return to College in Fall 2015-2018 for the Teacher Education Program Early Childhood Development. . Maryland Credentialed, Highest level of Achievement, Level 6. Maryland Excels Provider, Highest level of Achievement, level 5. *NAFCC Accredited Family Provider (Nationally Accredited) . *MSDE Accredited Family Child Care Program (State Accreditation through NAFCC) I have served on the Board of the Howard County Family Child Association as VP of Mentoring to help new and seasoned child care providers. I have stepped down from this position. I now serve as an informal resource and mentor moving forward.

 

 

I have been providing licensed family child care in Howard County, since 1994. I have won numerous awards ( in health & safety, nurturing ...).

I have been honored by past Howard County Executives, Allan Kittleman, Ken Ulman & James Robey, when these award programs were in place and existed. Inducted into the 2008 Inaugural Member Shining Stars Gallery for my ongoing dedication to the children of Howard County in the following years; 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011,2o10 & 2009. In 2015, I was honored once again as a committed professional, for my outstanding contributions now as a Hall of Fame "Perennials" to reflect the "Excellence in bloom" event theme. I am proud to continue to serve families and children and be honored in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

(Since Covid this program has stopped).

 

I work diligently to go above and beyond what the state of Maryland requires, as a result my family child care program is both Nationally and Maryland State Accredited.

I am currently able to serve Military Families and those employed by the Department of Defense and participate in their MCCYN Expanding Affordable Child Care Program because of my qualification MCCYN Provider ID 3000072788

I still encourage the promotion and maintenance of healthy habits and lifestyles in my child care program and with their families. Encourage unlimited water. Reduction to screen time use. Support breastfeeding. Daily physical activity. Low fat milk products. Fruit & vegetable consumption.

I am located off of Montgomery Road/ Route 103 between Route 100 & Route 29. Easy access to 95 & 295 as well.

Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm.
